Scope
These general rules apply to every competition. Where a competition page states something different, the competition page wins.
Registration
- One account per competitor per competition.
- The account must be created and linked before the competition ends.
- An account already active in another live competition cannot be entered.
- Registration is final once confirmed. Where a competition charges an entry fee, that fee is not returned — not if you leave, whenever you leave, and not if the competition is cancelled. The term is published on each competition's own page, under Rules, and shown again in the join dialog before you pay.
Paying to enter
An entry fee is paid in cryptocurrency at the moment you join — USDT or USDC, on a network you choose before the payment address is created. There is nothing to deposit and no balance to hold with us. A competition priced at zero costs nothing.
Joining reserves your seat and opens a payment address for the exact amount. The seat is held for 45 minutes while the payment confirms; a transfer usually confirms in one to ten minutes and can take the whole 45. The seat becomes an entry, and trading unlocks, when the payment confirms. If it has not confirmed by the time the hold runs out, the seat is released and goes back to the pool.
Registration can close after trading has started, so a payment that confirms late can seat you in a competition already under way — the same starting balance as everybody else, with less time to use it.
Anything that arrives after the seat is gone, or after the competition has ended, buys nothing. It is not returned automatically: it goes to our finance team and is returned by hand. Contact support with the payment reference rather than paying again.
Ranking
Every competition ranks by profit on the starting balance, largest first. Everyone in it starts on the same balance, trades the same window and is measured the same way. Floating profit on open positions is not counted — all positions are closed at market when trading ends, and the result is settled on what is closed.
How ties are broken is published on each competition's own page, under Rules. It is set before the competition is published and it is the wording results are settled on. Browse competitions to read it for the one you are entering.
Some entrants are operated by World Warriors Forex Tournament. They are accounts we run so a competition has a field to play against. They trade at the same prices under the same rules as everyone else and nothing is arranged in their favour — they lose too. Where a competition charges an entry fee they are never paid a prize: the prizes go to the people who entered, in rank order, as if those accounts were not on the board. In a free competition they take part like any other entrant. They are not marked on the leaderboard.
Who can win a prize
Everyone is ranked. To be paid a prize, an entry must meet both of these:
- The minimum number of trades stated on the competition's page. Every trade counts — one you close yourself, one closed by a stop-loss, take-profit or stop-out, and one still open when trading ends, which is closed for you at the last available price. You do not need to be at the screen at the end.
- A profit. The entry must finish above the starting balance. Finishing level, or below it, wins nothing, whatever the rank.
An entry that misses either is shown on the leaderboard as not qualified and keeps its rank. Prizes are paid in rank order to qualified entries only, so the first qualified entry takes the first prize even if others finished above it. A prize nobody qualified for is not paid out.
Risk limits
Maximum drawdown is measured against the highest equity reached during the competition, not the starting balance. Breaching it at any point closes every open position at market and disqualifies the account immediately.
A disqualified competitor may re-enter the same competition, once or repeatedly, for that competition's entry fee, paid the same way as the first entry. The price is quoted before it is charged. Nothing is reset until that payment confirms — until then the entry stays disqualified and trading stays locked. When it confirms, the balance and the drawdown reset and the standing built up to that point is discarded: the new attempt is scored from zero.
Prohibited strategies
| Behaviour | Consequence |
|---|---|
| Latency or quote arbitrage | Disqualification |
| Hedging across competitor accounts | Disqualification of all involved accounts |
| Tick-scalping abuse | Trades voided, possible disqualification |
| Coordinated trading rings | Disqualification and account termination |
| Automated strategies (permitted) | No penalty |
Expert advisors and algorithmic strategies are allowed, provided they do not fall into the categories above.
Results and prizes
Standings are settled when trading ends, and prizes are credited to reward wallets at that moment. Being paid one out is a separate step: you request it from your wallet, your identity has to be verified first, and an operator reviews the request and sends the transfer by hand — normally within 24 to 48 hours. World Warriors Forex Tournament may withhold or hold a prize pending investigation where an account is flagged during the risk review.
Cancellation
A cancelled competition publishes no result and awards no prizes. What you traded and the equity you finished on are kept on your entry.
Entry fees are not returned when a competition is cancelled, and neither is anything paid to re-enter it — a competition that never runs still costs its entry fee. Competitions priced at zero cost nothing either way. Each priced competition publishes this term on its own page, under Rules, and it is shown again in the join dialog before payment.
